Salvador, June 13, 2011. The Minister of Health, Dr. María Isabel Rodríguez, Dr. José Ruales Representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine, University of El Salvador, Mrs. Hilda Cecilia Mendez, awarded diplomas professionals at 62 National Health System that led courses through the Virtual Campus of Public Health (CVSP) during the years 2010 to 2011.

The CVSP is a tool of PAHO's technical cooperation network for learning in the Americas, whose purpose is to contribute to the formation of powers of the public health through the use of information technology and communication . The Representative of PAHO said that the CVSP is a growing network of people, institutions and organizations that share courses, resources, services and activities of education, information and knowledge management are crucial factors for promoting change, innovation and the ability response to the challenges of public health in El Salvador.

It also invited the authorities and staff of the Ministry of Health, the Salvadoran Social Security Institute and the universities forming to build a national node of the Virtual Campus of Public Health, in which the future may integrate other training programs and research.
To the Minister of Health, the reform process the student's condition requires committed and who knows your community to provide better health care.

"These courses can not be considered successful if they do not give a continuous outcome and to replicate the knowledge in the workplace that have been purchased through the online course 'concluded the Minister.

In 2010 it developed 10 online courses culminating in 2011 with 62 graduates.
