Healthcare technology planning & management

The Healthcare Technology Planning & Management (2015) course, in its first version, will be held from 20 July through 4 October 2015 IMPORTANT UPDATE: From 7 September 2015 through 21 November 2015, and provides students with a basic understanding of the principles of healthcare technology planning and management – policies, assessment, budgeting, acquisition, deployment, education/training, patient safety, maintenance, and replacement/disposal. Additional topics include the convergence of healthcare technologies – medical devices, information systems and telecommunications; clinical engineering department setup/ management, and related professional activities.

Application forms to participate in this course will be received until 26 June 2015 IMPORTANT UPDATE: New deadline. July 20, 2015.

It is intended for professionals (engineers, medical doctors, managers and other related specialties) that develop or are interested on developing duties related to biomedical technologies on the health system or at health institutions. Participants should have completed university level courses in business, technology, engineering or management, or should have experience in management or administration with responsibility for some aspect of healthcare technology.
