FESPOn 5 August, started the virtual course of Essential Public Health Functions (EPHF). This is the second version of the course and aims to develop leadership and management skills of the "Essential Public Health Functions" to contribute to public health practice, strengthening national health systems and improving the health of the population.

It adopts a modular structure with an introductory module familiarization VCPH platform, four thematic learning modules, and a final module that presents a proposal for intervention designed to solve a critical problem in relation to any EPHF, which will be selected by the participant from the beginning of the course.

The course has a duration of 128 hours spread over a period of 4 calendar months with an intensity of 8 hours per week.

In this course have invited 127 applicants from 13 countries of the region: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
